Teams from Dubai Civil Defence brought under control a fire that broke out in part of the Dragon Mart’s façade. No fatalities were reported.

According to the official documents, the Dubai Civil Defence operations room received a report at 5:10pm on Sunday that a fire had erupted in the Dragon Mart in Dubai. A Civil Defence team rushed to the scene of the incident and arrived there in five minutes to find that a minor fire had broken out in part of the Dragon Mart’s façade, affecting three vehicles that were parked close to the scene of the fire. Debris was also scattered at the site.

A Civil Defence source said the team managed to bring the fire under control in 10 minutes before handing the place over to the competent authorities for further investigations into the causes of the fire.

A recent report says Dubai Civil Defence teams brought under control a fire that broke out in a wood warehouse in the Ras Al Khor area in Dubai.

Earlier, the Dubai Civil Defence’s operations room received a report at 3:16pm stating that a fire erupted in the Ras Al Khor area 2.

Firefighting engines from the Nad Al Sheba Firefighting Station rushed to the scene of the fire and arrived there at 3:22pm achieving a response time of 6 minutes.

The fire was found to have erupted in a wood warehouse. Firefighting engines from Al Rashidiya station and Al Quoz station joined hands.

A Civil Defence source stated that the thick smoke billowed from the warehouse containing flammable material, adding that the field commander of the accident confirmed that the fire was brought under control at 4:31pm.

No casualties were reported as a result of the fire. The teams later started dousing the site so as to be referred to the competent authorities for further investigations.

An earlier report said a fire broke out in a warehouse in Abu Dhabi.

The Abu Dhabi Civil Defence teams rushed to the site in Al Mafraq area.

The authorities said that the Abu Dhabi Police and Abu Dhabi Civil Defence teams dealt with a fire that broke out in a warehouse at exactly 2pm.

The police said Civil Defence teams successfully extinguished the fire in the warehouse for scrap heavy vehicles and tankers without any casualties.
