As always, this time too, the girl students have outshone the boys by 3.29 per cent.

Getting 500 out of 500 marks, two girls — Yuvakshi Vij from Noida and Tanya Singh of Bulandshahr — have scored 100 per cent marks in CBSE Class 12 results declared on Friday. Tanya Singh, a student of Delhi Public School in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, has also topped the CBSE Class 12 board examination.

More than 1.3 million students have passed this time in the CBSE 12th board examinations. On an average, 92.71 per cent students have passed in the exams.

Bengaluru is at number two with 98.16 pass percentage and Chennai stood at third with 97.79 per cent students passing in the CBSE 12th board examination. Delhi ranks fourth and fifth in this category.  Lowest ranked is Prayagraj region with 83.71 per cent pass.

Many students from across the country secured 100 per cent marks in their Class 10 CBSE examinations as per the merit lists released on Friday.

These toppers include Mayank Yadav from Noida, Diya Namdev from Shamli in Uttar Pradesh, and Purvanshu Garg and Anjali from Haryana. Diya said: “I had studied all my textbooks with full dedication. My study schedule was 7-8 hours a day, which helped me read and understand my syllabus throughly.”

According to Diya, her parents also helped her in every possible way. She said that she wants to give the credit of her success to her parents and teachers. Garg, a resident of Pehowa in Haryana, has also secured 500 out of 500.

Student of a private school located in Pehowa, Purvanshu said that science is his favorite subject and he aspires to serve the country by becoming a scientist.

Purvanshu’s father Rajesh Garg is a local shopkeeper and mother Sangeeta, a homemaker.

Anjali, a student of Khet village Silarpur in Haryana’s Mahendragarh, also scored full 500 in the examination. Furthermore, she also scored 100 out of 100 in the elective subject.

This year 14,44,341 students from across the country had registered themselves for the CBSE 12th examinations, out of which 14,35,366 appeared and 13,30,662 passed. At the same time, 93.98 per cent students studying abroad have passed the board examinations.

A total of 33,432 students have scored more than 95 per cent marks in the CBSE Class 12 board results this year.

The CBSE also declared the class 10 exam results in which 94.40 per cent students have passed.

Like the 12th examinations, Thiruvananthapuram region stood first in the CBSE class 10 board exam results also, while Bengaluru came second and Chennai third.

According to the CBSE, 99.68 per cent students from Thiruvananthapuram, 99.22 per cent from Bangalore region, 98.97 per cent from Chennai, and 98.14 per cent from Ajmer, have passed the 10th board exams.

On the other hand, 25095 students had registered for the class 10 examinations, out of which, 24,843 appeared and 24169 passed the examination. The overall pass percentage of foreign students remained 97.29 percent.

PM MODI CONGRATULATES STUDENTS

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the students after CBSE declared Class XII results on Friday. Modi urged the students to follow their inner calling.

In a series of tweets, the Prime Minister said: “Congratulations to all my young friends who passed the CBSE Class XII exams. The grit and dedication of these youngsters is commendable. They prepared for these exams through a time when humanity faced a monumental challenge and achieved this success.”

Asking the students to follow their inner calling, he said: “There are innumerable opportunities that await our young exam warriors, who passed the CBSE Class XII exams. I urge them to follow their inner calling and pursue subjects they are passionate about. My best wishes for their future endeavours.”

Encouraging students who are not happy with their results, Modi said: “Some students may not be happy with their results but they must know that one exam will never define who they are. I am certain they will find more success in times to come,” he added.

Apart from this, around 65,000 other students, from various parts of the country, have secured over 95 per cent marks.
