A gang of 7 Asians assaulted an investor and a hotel manager in Dubai following a dispute over terminating the services of one of them and demanding him to pay sums of money owed to the investor.

The Court of First Instance sentenced all the defendants to six months in jail and the ruling was upheld by the Court of Appeal.

The case dated back to September last year when an investor filed a complaint in which he stated that he had been assaulted by a group of Asians. According to his statement, he was surprised by a group of people assaulting him upon his arrival near his home. The gang members continued to attack him with their hands and kicked him in different parts of his body, causing multiple injuries to him, the victim stated in the investigations, adding that he recognized one of the attackers, who was an employee of a hotel he owned in Dubai, where his services were recently terminated due to his repeated violations.

A policeman stated in the investigations that a team of detectives gathered inferences and checked the surveillance cameras, where the suspects were identified and all of them were arrested.

The prime suspect admitted that the management of the hotel owned by the victim terminated his services, withheld his passport and demanded him to pay a sum of money for repeated violations.

On interrogation, the rest of the suspects admitted to having helped the prime suspect take revenge on the victim who had withheld his passport.

Separately, a gangster lured an Asian girl through a social networking site, assaulted her and stole her money and mobile phone.

The victim reportedly arrived in Dubai as a visitor when she received a message  from a relative inviting her to a party organised by compatriots in a private house.

The girl accepted the invitation and her boyfriend agreed with her to meet in one of the Dubai neighborhoods near her residence. On the agreed time, the girl arrived where her boyfriend was waiting for her. He asked her to get on his vehicle to drop her, but instantly on getting on, she was attacked by two other persons who tied her up, assaulted her and threatening her with killing if she did not respond to them.

They gagged her mouth, put a piece of cloth on her eyes and drove to a villa.

They forced the victim to get into the villa, where they started to torture her. Then they stole her money and her mobile phone. Then they transferred Dhs165,000 from her account to their accounts through an app. They continued attacking her and videoed her in immoral positions.
