VIDEO: Eid fireworks thrill residents and tourists in Abu Dhabi
Fireworks lights up the night skies over Abu Dhabi.
Tens of thousands of people in the capital, Abu Dhabi, watched the unique fireworks on Saturday evening, in celebration of the first day of Eid Al-Adha.
The fireworks display caught the attention of the masses, who were keen to go early, especially in the evening, accompanied by family and friends, to enjoy the Eid holidays in a wonderful festive atmosphere, filled with joy and fun.
Families gathered from noon in public parks along the Abu Dhabi Corniche, the breakwater area, and in the Al Maryah Island area, where fireworks started at nine in the evening, from the marine area facing the Emirates Palace, forming different shapes and colours.
At the same time, fireworks were launched from the Al Maryah Island area, which delighted formed an aesthetic painting in the sky of the region.
