Direct flights between Dubai and Bhubaneswar likely soon

Direct flights between Dubai and Bhubaneswar could be a reality soon. This was stated by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik while he was addressing the diaspora from the eastern state in Dubai.

The Odia expats have been long seeking a service of this kind to their state. Nearly one lakh Odias are reported to live in the UAE.

Chief Secretary SC Mohapatra said that the Odisha government will give subsidies to airlines willing to operate direct flights from Dubai to Bhubaneswar, according to a report in a section of the Indian media.
