The guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, was instrumental in ensuring a rapid response to the outbreak and developing an effective counter-pandemic approach, said Dr Amer Sharif.
Sheikh Mohammed expressed his appreciation for the efforts of medical, nursing and administrative staff across the UAE, which have been key to containing the spread of COVID-19 and providing the highest level of healthcare to patients.
The Dubai Health Authority decided to reduce the charges of 11 types of medical services provided in all affiliated hospitals and centres so substantially that the reduction exceeded in many of these services 50 per cent of the original charge of the service.

The authorities said, “Abu Dhabi Police and Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority teams are dealing with a fire that broke out this evening at a warehouse in Mussafah industrial area.
"Every year, over 400m tonnes of plastic is produced worldwide - one-third of which is used just once,” said Antonio Guterres. "Every day, the equivalent of over 2,000 garbage trucks full of plastic is dumped into our oceans, rivers, and lakes.”
