A quick-thinking traffic policeman saved the life of a toddler who fell off an auto-rickshaw in India.

The incident was caught on CCTV cameras in the area.

The video has gone viral on all social media platforms.

IAS officer Awanish Sharan shared the video on Twitter and wrote, “Traffic police Jawan Sunder Lal.”

The video shows the auto-rickshaw making a slow turn at a crowded intersection.

In the auto-rickshaw, the mother somehow loses the grip of her child.

The toddler falls on the ground and the rickshaw moves ahead.

The traffic policeman administering the intersection saw the toddler on the ground and realized a speeding bus was approaching.

The policeman jumps to the rescue of the toddler.

He grabs the toddler and moves to the side of the road.

The bus driver also stops on time, sparring both the lives.

The cop's timely action saved the life of a child.

The video has over 1.5 million views and 80,000 likes on Twitter.

The mother hurriedly got down and went to the cop to thank him. 

Social media users have praised the policeman for his bravery and the bus driver for using the brakes on time.

A twitter user Jitanshu Priyadarshan Dash said, “Salute to the dashing and daring traffic police jawan Mr. Sunder Lal for saving a child from death due to an accident.”

Pawan Kumar Pandey said, “I appreciated both first bus driver their reaction is very quick within second he stop the bus and not out second one police officer when I see this kind of clips I feel good.”

Shahab Jafri said, “Not even once did he care for his life in front of the moving bus.

“Humanity is surviving because of selfless people like him.

“I hope the State Government and the Police Department reward him suitably.”
