A video of a 5-year-old Argentine boy has gone viral after he risked his life to save his puppy from drowning in the swimming pool at his residence.

The CCTV footage showed the boy running towards the pool after seeing the puppy motionless in the middle of the water.

The family shared the full CCTV footage where it is visible that a two-month-old puppy after losing its balance falls in the pool.

The German Shepherd is too little to climb out of the pool by itself. After struggling for several minutes, the dog just tries to float on the surface of the water.

The boy spots his puppy in the middle of the pool. Realizing something is wrong; he immediately jumps into the water and brings it to the ground with the help of the mother.

The family told the media that the boy learned how to swim recently.

The inspiring act of the boy has won the hearts of netizens.

According to the family, the dog did suffer from hypothermia because water was around 5° Celsius but survived and is recovering now.
