During the meeting, they discussed a number of scientific and academic topics that would contribute to the continued progress of the university in all scientific, academic and research fields.

The meeting also dealt with the university's future plans related to the expansion of academic programmes and public facilities and the strengthening of scientific partnerships with various prestigious scientific institutions.
After the meeting, His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah inspected the new air-conditioned corridors project connecting all university buildings, including colleges, laboratories, the library, the restaurant hall, and others.
The meeting was attended by Dr Hamid Majul Al Nuaimi, Chancellor of the UoS; Dr Qutaiba Humaid, Vice President for Medical Colleges and Health Sciences; Majid Muhammad Al Jarwan, Vice President for Public Relations, and a number of university officials.
Sheikh Sultan was briefed on the most prominent stages of the building implementation, ensuring the privacy level for the family and the children, and the means of entertainment designated for them.
His Highness praised the role of the Board of Trustees in drawing up the general plans and policies of the university and making decisions that are in the interest of the university.
In his advice to the graduates, Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed said, “I invite each of you to be proud of yourself, your certificate, and your university, and to be keen to continue receiving science and knowledge, and to develop skills in various fields."
