A yearly 10-day family holiday for a divorced couple turned into tragedy when they ended up on board ill-fated Nepal plane which crashed on Sunday.

Among the victims were two Germans, four Indians and 16 Nepalis.

The four Indians, who died in the crashed were a divorced couple and their daughter and son, aged 15 and 22, were going on a family holiday, Indian police official Uttam Sonawane told reporters.

"There was a court order for (the father) to spend time with the family for 10 days every year, so they were taking a trip," Sonawane said

Rescuers searching a mountainside in Nepal on Monday recovered the bodies of 21 of the 22 people who were on board a plane that crashed a day earlier.

The search is continuing for the remaining person, Kathmandu airport spokesman.

The De Havilland Canada DHC-6-300 Twin Otter aircraft crashed 15 minutes after taking off from the tourist town of Pokhara, 125 km west of Kathmandu, on Sunday morning.
