Sheikh Abdullah, Turkish President discuss region and Ukraine crisis

Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Turkey, received Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in Istanbul.

During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah conveyed to Erdogan the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and his wishes for the Turkish Republic's growth and prosperity.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and paths of joint cooperation between the two countries in all fields that serve their mutual interests and benefit their peoples.

The two sides also discussed the situation in the region and the importance of strengthening efforts to consolidate peace, security and stability there.

They also exchanged views on developments on the regional and international arenas, including the crisis in Ukraine.

During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah stressed the UAE's keenness, with the support and patronage of Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to enhance prospects for bilateral cooperation with Turkey and to work together to consolidate the pillars of security and stability in the region and move forward in Development paths in order to meet the aspirations of peoples for progress and prosperity.
