Pakistan PM Shahbaz offers condolences to Sheikh Mohamed

Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif offered condolences to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the demise of late Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi.  Other members of the Royal family were also present in the condolence meeting.

Shahbaz was accompanied by Khawaja Mohammad Asif, Minister of Defence, Rana Sanaullah, Minister of Interior and Afzaal Mahmood,  Ambassador of Pakistan to the UAE.

The prime minister conveyed the profound sympathies and condolences of the leadership, government and people of Pakistan to the leadership of UAE.

Pakistan and the UAE are bound by close fraternal relationship. Under the leadership of late Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed, the relationship between Pakistan and the UAE scaled new heights. He was a sincere friend of Pakistan. His invaluable contributions will be long remembered by the Government and the people of Pakistan.

 In solidarity with the brotherly people of UAE, the government of Pakistan had announced three-days national mourning from May 13-15 2022, with the national flag to fly at half-mast.

Foreign Minister also offers condolences to Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed

Also on Monday, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zaradri offered condolences to Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed.

The foreign minister also offered condolences to other members of the UAE Royal family and prayed for the strength and fortitude of the leadership and brotherly people of the UAE to bear the irreparable loss.

Lauding invaluable contributions of Sheikh Khalifa in strengthening bilateral ties between Pakistan and the UAE, the foreign minister grieved that Pakistan lost a sincere friend with his demise.

Paying respects to the life and legacy of Sheikh Khalifa, the foreign minister fondly recalled his services to the nation and country, which will forever remain etched in history.

Bilawal also conveyed best wishes to Sheikh Mohamed Bin upon assuming his responsibilities as the new President of the UAE.
