15-year-old boy jumps to death from 12th floor of a building in Sharjah

An Arab boy, 15, died after deliberately throwing himself from the balcony of his parents’ apartment in Al Majaz in Sharjah on Monday morning.
 
Sharjah Police’s operations room received a report from eyewitnesses at 2:00am on Monday that an Arab boy fell from his parent’s apartment.
 
Police patrols, crime theatre vehicles and national ambulances rushed to the scene where they found that the boy had died on the spot after succumbing to his serious injuries resulting from falling from a high place and severely hitting the ground.

The victim was taken to the Kuwait Hospital in Sharjah.
 
Preliminary information obtained after investigating the boy’s family indicated that he deliberately threw himself from the balcony of the apartment as a result of psychological pressures and accumulations he was exposed to about school life.
 
The boy’s family learned about this through a written message he left to his family through the WhatsApp before throwing himself from the balcony.

In his message, he confirmed that the academic pressures on him pushed him to end his life.
 
He also apologised to them and affirmed that he loved them all.
 
Meanwhile, the Public Prosecution is investigating the circumstances of the incident after completing the legal procedures to hand over the body and issue the death certificate so that the boy’s family can bury him.
