Keralite nurse dies in RAK road accident while on Eid holidays, husband and child in ICU

A Keralite nurse Tintu Paul, based in Ras Al Khaimah died in a horrific car accident with her family while returning from their vacation in the Jabel Jais Mountain. 

The 36-year-old nurse's husband Kripa Shankar, and their children Kritin Shankar, Adin Shankar and mother-in-law all sustained injuries in the accident and are in the hospital.

The accident took place on May 3. According to the hospital, her husband and son are in a critical condition and are in the ICU.

The RAK Police and Civil Defence rushed to the scene. Preliminary investigation revealed that the car lost control while descending from the mountain and veered off the road and crashed.

The Air ambulance rescued the injured from the site and brought them to the hospital. Tintu was a nurse at the Rak Hospital Clinic in Al Hamra.They were returning after marking the Eid holidays in the Jebel Jais Mountains.

The injured were taken to Al Zakhar Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah. The hospital said that husband Kripa Shankar and son Kritin are moved to the intensive care unit with spinal injuries. The case has been moved to the UAE Public Prosecution for the legal procedures.
