Thousands and thousands of Muslims performed the Eid Al-Fitr prayers next to the Dome of the Rock Mosque in the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in the Old City of Jerusalem on Monday.
Eid Al-Fitr, marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
Local media said that around 200,000 worshippers performed Eid prayer at Al Aqsa mosque.
After the prayer, some Palestinian women were seen distributing sweets and cookies in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The morning was peaceful but in the afternoon four Palestinian youths, including two minors from Lod City were injured after they were attacked by Israeli undercover police near the military checkpoint of Nillin village, west of Ramallah.
A video also showed that Israeli forces detain a Palestinian child in Damascus Gate area in Jerusalem.
On the other hand, a proposal by the UN agency for Palestinian refugees to delegate some services to other United Nations agencies has sparked outrage among Palestinians who have warned of a plot to "dismantle" the body.
UNRWA is "not just about the delivery of services," said Muhammed Shehada from the Swiss-based Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor.
"As long as UNRWA is there, it's a reminder that the international community has a responsibility to solve the issue of Palestinian refugees," he told media.
The Al Aqsa compound is the holiest place in Judaism, known to Jews as the Temple Mount, and the third-holiest in Islam.
Palestinian Muslims have been angered by an uptick in Jewish visits to the compound, where by long-standing convention Jews may visit but are not allowed to pray.
