UAE detects 275 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced 275 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 898,045.

The Ministry stressed in a statement on Thursday that its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary care treatment.

As part of its intensified testing campaign, MoHAP announced that it conducted 282,907 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.

The infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care, according to the ministry.

The Ministry added that no COVID-19-related deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours, leaving death toll unchanged at 2,302.

MoHAP also noted that an additional 334 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 881,148.

MoHAP has announced that 6,408 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were given in the past 24 hours.

The total number of doses provided up to Thursday stands at 24,717,258 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 249.91 doses per 100 people.
