The UAE authorities have identified 5 channels through which a person can inquire about applications for entry permits, visas, their validity, and status after submitting the transaction to the competent authority in the UAE.

The government clarified that if a person has an entry permit or a visa issued by Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, or Fujairah, he can check its validity, issuance and expiry date through the eChannel platform of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Security ports.

But if the entry permit or visa is issued by Dubai, its validity, issuance date and expiry can be inquired about on the “Amer” website, or through the Vision eForm platform of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai.

The applicant can also send a message or speak directly with the Amer office to inquire about the status of the visa and entry permits, and to track them through the “Dubai Now” app.

The digital government also affirmed that the entry permit or visa applicant must obtain tracking information electronically, including the application and reference numbers.

It is possible to inquire about visa applications in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, or Fujairah, by communicating with the Federal Authority for Identity, Nationality, Customs and Port Security at the number 600522222, or leaving a note through the complaints and opinions system.

For visas issued from Dubai, one can contact the Amer service on the toll-free number 800 5111 within the UAE, and the toll-free number: +9714-313-9999 from outside.

It is noteworthy that the UAE government has recently announced the new executive regulation for the entry and residence in the UAE, which will be put into effect in September 2022.

This includes an updated system for entry visas, providing new and multiple purposes and options for those wishing to visit the UAE, with flexible and extendable visit periods of up to a year, without the requirement of a guarantor or host in the country, aiming to facilitate procedures and requirements.
