A video clip of a Saudi youth driving recklessly on an empty football field has drawn ire of netizens.

In the video youth can be seen drifting his car in the middle of the field and hitting a container that was placed in the middle of the stadium in Jizan region, causing it to fall to the ground.

Video of the football ground in Jizan was widely circulated on social media.

The video ends with the young man driving out of stadium after finishing his reckless act.

Angry netizens expressing their anger, demanding the security authorities to quickly arrest the perpetrator.

After the video went viral the Saudi Public Security Directorate followed up the incident. Later in a statement it confirmed that the security patrols in the Jizan region were able to identify and arrest the driver of the vehicle who appeared in the video clip.

According to the authorities’ statement the driver was a Saudi  citizen and the legal procedures against are completed.
