His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, affirmed his keenness to read Al Khaleej newspaper thoroughly every day to find out the latest events.

Sheikh Sultan made the above statement while receiving media leaders on a Ramadan evening that Al Khaleej newspaper is sent to him daily at 3:15 am, which he reads carefully while drinking his morning coffee.

He added if it is not sent on time, he enquires about the reason.

Al Khaleej was launched by brothers Taryam Omran Taryam and Abdullah Omran Taryam on Oct.19, 1970.

Al Khaleej is an Arabic-language broadsheet newspaper published in Sharjah by Dar Al Khaleej for Press, Printing and Publishing. It is the first newspaper to be published in the country.

In 2020, Al Khaleej newspaper, the pulse of the nation and the nation’s conscience, celebrated its golden jubilee, marking 50 years of excellence.

Al Khaleej, over these decades, has accompanied the march of the Union since its foundation by the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his founding brothers, Rulers of the Emirates, and has seen the UAE become one of the most developed and advanced countries.

It has witnessed the revival of our country from the first moment of its foundation, and has kept pace with its glory, highlighting the nation’s achievements.

Al Khaleej since its inception is and will remain the same, the professional newspaper that is always close to all events, dealing with them objectively and impartially. It briefs its readers wherever they are about all events, through its printed pages and its multiple digital platforms.
