UAE sees 347 new COVID-19 cases, no death in 24 hours

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced 347 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 889,452.

The Ministry stressed in a statement on Friday that its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment.

As part of its intensified testing campaign, MoHAP announced that it conducted 275,579 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.

The infected individuals are from various nationalities, are stable, and receive the necessary care, according to the ministry.

The Ministry added that no COVID-19-related deaths had been recorded in the past 24 hours, leaving the death toll unchanged at 2,302.

MoHAP also noted that an additional 882 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 862,730.

MoHAP has announced that 7,976 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were administered during the past 24 hours.

The total number of doses provided up to Friday stands at 24,463,554 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 247.35 doses per 100 people.
