Woman unable to pay blood money gets Sultan’s help

His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, paid the legal blood money of Dhs200,000 to the heirs of an Arab national who was under the sponsorship of a female citizen from Umm Al Quwain, and he died after being electrocuted in a short circuit. The sponsor was unable to pay the blood money and was arrested about five days ago.

His Highness directed the Sharjah Police to immediately release the woman to return to her home and family, after the citizen’s husband contacted the Direct Line programme of Sharjah Radio and Television, asking for a solution to his wife’s problem.
