Sharjah Police launch ‘age-friendly public transport’ service for elderly people

The service is provided free of charge for non-emergency cases through several channels, either on the Sharjah Police website, the smart application.

The Sharjah Police General Command announced the “Age-friendly Public Transport” service for the elderly and people of determination, with the aim of transporting them from their homes to hospitals, or vice versa, in addition to transporting them to various service departments and institutions which they need to visit.

The service can be obtained through a number of steps starting with accessing the Sharjah Police General Command website, then clicking on the services window, then clicking on the general services window, and then on the patient transfer service.

After filling in the required data related to the patient and the nature of the health problem, the user clicks on “Save.”

After that, the responsible employee will review the application, and an email will be send to the patient telling him that his request has been approved.

The service is provided free of charge for non-emergency cases through several channels, either on the Sharjah Police website, the smart application, or by calling 065584444.

As for emergency cases, a person can call 998, knowing that these channels work around the clock.
