The Abu Dhabi Family, Civil and Administrative Cases Court obligated an employer to pay a worker Dhs150,000 in compensation for the material and moral damages he sustained in an accident while he was on duty.

The worker sustained various injuries and had to undergo surgical operations, the Court heard.

The case dates back to the time when the plaintiff filed a lawsuit, demanding his employer to pay him an amount of Dhs200,000 as compensation for the damages he sustained and to pay the attorney’s fees.

He explained that while he was on duty, he fell down due to the insufficient safety measures.

He underwent surgical operations due to the wounds he had, the plaintiff said, noting that his employer had fired him.

The forensic doctor’s report stated that the worker’s injuries were caused due to a fall from a height.

He had neurological complications because of his head injury and fractures in the right frontal bone, which led to a chronic headache, the report added.

The injures resulted in a permanent disability of 5% in the sight, 10% permanent disability in the respiratory functions after the worker had comminuted fractures in the nasal bone, 10% permanent disability in the chewing, and 60% permanent disability in the upper limb.
