Car and motorcycle enthusiasts and fans of speed and motor sports in the UAE are looking forward to the second edition of the Sharjah Car Festival, being organised by the Al Majaz Amphitheatre, affiliated with the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, on February 26 and 27. More than 800 cars and motorcycles will go on display.

The second Sharjah Car Festival, which is free to attend runs from 12 noon to 10pm, offering families to spend two days of fun with various interactive activities, entertainment, games, music and contests aimed at introducing the public to the fascinating world of cars. A number of valuable prizes are also up for grabs.

The Sharjah Car Festival activities include the “All-in-One Family of Cars” show dedicated to all lovers of speed and thrills. The show highlights the attractions of various car categories such as specialised cars, SUVs, classic cars, luxury cars and motorcycles.

Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, said, “the Sharjah Car Festival is part of the plans and efforts by Al Majaz Amphitheatre to host world-class events and activities that cater to the interests and aspirations of the community of residents and visitors in the Emirate.”

Allay said that the Sharjah Car Festival this year has been extended for another day in view of its remarkable success last year and the extraordinary interest it attracted from various segments of society throughout the country.

The Sharjah Car Festival will see a number of contests to choose the best participants or winners in each of the car and motorcycle categories participating in the festival.

The list includes as many as 26 different categories; the Best American and non-American Car (sports and saloon), the Best SUV, the Best KDM Korean Car, and the Best Japanese Car (sports and saloon), the Best Off-road Vehicle and the Vehicle with the Best Audio System.

The competition categories also include; Best Body Modification, Best Body Wrap Design, and Best Hand Painted Bodywork, Best Engine, Best Exterior, Best Interior, Best Classic and Best Classic Modified Car, Best Classic Truck, Best Innovative Car (Classic and Sports), Best Mini, Best Car Paint, Best Adventure Car, Best Car and One Classic Fit.

The festival also includes contests to choose the winners in categories; the Best Motorcycle, the Best Sports Motorcycle, Best Modified Sports Motorcycle, Best Baggers Bike, Best Portable Bike, Best Mountain Bike, Best Scooter, and Best Bike in the World etc.

The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) brings back its popular Classic Car Festival for a second edition.

The 2nd edition of the Classic Car Festival, organised in collaboration with the Sharjah Old Cars Club, kicks off with a vintage classic car parade on Dec.3, from the House of Wisdom to Al Majaz Waterfront. Themed ‘Cars & Coffee’, the festival will be staged in five of Shurooq destinations, bringing a priceless and exhaustive collection of classic and vintage cars to the public display for five more weekends until March 4, 2022.

The festival is hosting several workshops and creative activities for car enthusiasts, families and kids in each participating Shurooq destination, alongside several traditional entertainment shows.

Coffee enthusiasts will have the opportunity to taste some unusual blends at these events as a variety of specialty coffee shops at participating Shurooq destinations will include promotions on their premium F&B offerings.
