Various areas across the UAE on Monday saw a significant drop in temperature of nearly four degrees Celsius. Temperature in Abu Dhabi was on Monday 20 degrees Celsius, down from 24 degrees Celsius on Sunday.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) recorded the lowest temperature of 11.4 degrees Celsius in Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah at 5pm local time and the highest temperature of 31.1 degrees Celsius in Kalba, Sharjah at 11:45am local time.

Various areas across the UAE also saw strong and sand-stirring northerly winds at 45 kilometres/hour that led horizontal visibility to drop sometimes to less than 2,000 metres on some open areas. This continued for six hours starting from 12 noon up to 6pm.

Meanwhile, the NCM said Tuesday’s weather is expected to be partly cloudy to clear in general with a further drop in temperature and humid at night and on Wednesday morning with a change for fog and light fog on some eastern inland areas. Wednesday’s weather will be clear to partly cloudy in general with a likely rise in temperature and humid at night and on Thursday morning.
