The Indian city of Faridabad witnessed a frightening and strange incident after a mother risked her son's life in a high-rise building, by dangling him with a bed sheet from the tenth floor to the ninth to recover her clothes that were stuck in the neighbors' balcony.
The shocking video spread on social media, showing the child hanging from the bed sheet, standing on the balcony of the ninth floor apartment, which was said to be closed.
The young child is seen struggling to climb, at a time when the mother and several family members began to slowly pull him up, endangering his life.
The video, filmed by one of the neighbors, a commentator is heard saying that the child will never survive the fall if his hands slip.
Although the mother later regretted her behavior, this did not stop the storm of anger and criticism on social media for endangering the life of the young child for something trivial.
The police described the woman's behavior as a high level of neglect, insensitivity and irresponsibility.
Social media users wondered why the mother did not ask for help from the management of the apartment complex instead of endangering the life of her young child.
The building administration warned the mother against repeating the dangerous act again.
