According to the case papers, in July 2021, a woman reported the police that her phone had been stolen and she had been blackmailed by a person she previously had a relationship with.

The woman added that she had a friendship with that person, which developed into a love relationship, during which he promised her to marry but she was married to another person, so she asked him not to contact her again.
He threatened to publish her pictures with him and send them to her family and husband.
The woman’s husband testified that he received messages from his wife’s phone while she was with him and when he asked her about them she told him her phone was stolen and that someone threatened her, so he informed the police.
