An eight-year-old Arab child died on Wednesday evening, after falling from the window of his parents’ apartment located in a residential building in Fujairah.

Major General Mohammed Ahmed Bin Ghanem Al Kaabi, Commander-in-Chief of Fujairah Police, said the operations room received a report at 6pm on Wednesday that a child had fallen from a building overlooking the Hamad Bin Abdullah Street.

The competent teams rushed to the scene of the accident where the child was found to have fallen from the balcony of the apartment on the 12th floor to the bottom of the building, he added, noting that the child sustained very serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital but died later.

Al Kaabi stated that the police initiated investigations into the accident.
