His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, on Monday congratulated His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Ruler's accession to the throne of the Emirate of Sharjah.

Sheikh Mohammed said in a tweet, “Tomorrow (25 January), my brother Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi will complete 50 years since accession to throne of the Emirate of Sharjah. Sultan is one of the Union’s pillars, a beacon for science and culture, and a major driver of development, building and human service in the country. May Allah the Almighty protect Sultan for his family and his people.”

January 25th represents a significant occasion in the history of the Emirate of Sharjah.

On this day we recall the qualitative achievements of the Emirate thanks to a great leader who gave his thoughts and wisdom to serve his citizens and made Sharjah, under his leadership and insightful vision, take firm and confident steps on the path of excellence.
