UAE reports 2,627 new coronavirus cases, no deaths in 24 hours

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced 2,627 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 780,211.

The Ministry stressed in a statement on Friday that its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment.

As part of its intensified testing campaign, MoHAP announced that it conducted 384,622 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.

The infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care, according to the ministry.

The Ministry added that no COVID-19-related deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours, and death toll remains unchanged at 2,170.

MoHAP also noted that an additional 930 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 751,086.

MoHAP has announced that 34,374 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were given in the past 24 hours.

The total number of doses provided up to Friday stands at 22,822,125 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 230.75 doses per 100 people.
