The UAE Health Ministry has said that vaccine and booster could fight COVID-19 virus and studies have shown vaccine and booster shots significantly help reduce the rates of hospitalisation and death, as well as prevent the spread of the virus variants.

The health experts said, “We urge eligible individuals to take their booster shots to protect themselves, especially elderly people and those with chronic diseases, to support the national efforts to address the pandemic and counter variants.”

The efforts of national teams and relevant authorities require the cooperation of members of the community, through adhering to personal means of prevention, including respecting social distancing, wearing face masks and regular sanitisation.

Taking the vaccine does not exempt anyone from committing to precautionary measures, such as wearing facemasks, sanitising and respecting social distancing.
