UAE detects 2,708 new coronavirus cases, no deaths in 24 hours

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced 2,708 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 774,897.

The Ministry stressed in a statement on Wednesday that its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment.

As part of its intensified testing campaign, MoHAP announced that it conducted 469,028 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.

The infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care, according to the ministry.

The Ministry added that no COVID-19-related deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours, and death toll remains unchanged at 2,170.

MoHAP also noted that an additional 743 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 749,254.

MoHAP has announced that 29,880 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were administered in the past 24 hours.

The total number of doses provided up to Wednesday stands at 22,750,991 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 230.03 doses per 100 people.
