The Abu Dhabi health body in coordination with the Department of Education and Knowledge - Abu Dhabi, announced the adoption of the "distance education" system for the first two weeks of the second semester, in order to ensure the safe return of students to schools, and to enhance precautionary measures.

During the two weeks, examinations will be intensified on those belonging to the education sector, as well as reviewing the epidemiological situation and updating protocols for returning to educational facilities after that period.

This decision applies to all public and private schools in the emirate, including training centres, colleges and universities, in the interest of the health and safety of the school community, as part of the preventive measures taken in the emirate to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus and maintain a low rate of infection.

The committee also urges parents and guardians of students, teaching staff and administrative staff to receive a supportive vaccination dose, and to ensure compliance with precautionary measures, including physical distancing of at least two meters and wearing a mask in the correct way, while continuing to wash and sterilise hands.
