The Anti-Narcotics Department at the Ras Al Khaimah Police arrested an Asian gang over the involvement in drug peddling in 67 spots in the emirate. Upon receiving confirmed information about a gang promoting drugs in the emirate, competent teams at the Department were entrusted to monitor the locations of the suspects, and identify their methods, suspicious movements and ways of working, Colonel Ibrahim Jassim Al Tunaiji, Director of the Anti-Narcotics Department of at Ras Al Khaimah Police said.

Through the search and investigation, the security teams were able to locate and identify the gangsters, who were arrested after taking urgent legal measures to overthrow them, and seize drugs from them, Al Tunaiji added. Colonel Al Tunaiji praised the efforts of the security teams, who worked professionally and efficiently to nab the gang and the narcotics they peddle.

He further called on all members of society to cooperate with the authorities to contribute to combating narcotics and deterring anyone who tries to harm our youth, by making them fall into the clutches of drugs, urging them to contact the operations room via (999) to report any suspicious activities.
