Renowned UAE-based Indian industrialist and philanthropist Ibrahim Haji passes away

India’s renowned industrialist and co-chairman of Malabar Gold and Diamonds PA Ibrahim Haji passed away at the age of 78.

He was under treatment at Kozhikode MIMS due to cerebral haemorrhage.

Ibrahim Haji suffered a stroke on December 11. He was admitted to the City Hospital at the Dubai Healthcare City.

He was shifted to the MIMS Hospital on Monday where he breathed his last on Tuesday.

Ibrahim Haji was a resident of the UAE for the past 55 years.

Ibrahim Haji was also the founder and vice-chairman of Indus Motors and chairman of Century Tours and Travel and Pace Group.

Ibrahim was born on Sept.6, 1943 at Pallikkara in Kasaragod.

He moved to the Gulf in 1966 and set up a textile business.

He launched Pace Group of Institutions in 1999 to cater to the education sector.

Accroding to local media, Ibrahim Haji’s body was kept for public viewing at his house in Kozhikode.

He was buried at Vettekkad Juma Masjid in Manjeri after 4pm.
