UAE reports 285 new COVID-19 cases in 24 hours, a sharp rise from past week

The UAE Ministry of Health conducted 310,797 tests as part of its plans to expand the scope of the tests, and revealed 285 new cases of the Coronavirus, 131 recoveries and no COVID-19-related deaths in the past 24 hours.

According to the ministry, the infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care.

The Ministry added that no COVID-19-related deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours, with the death toll remaining unchanged at 2,151.

The ministry also noted that an additional 131 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19.

The UAE authorities have announced on Wednesday fresh COVID-19 protocols for the upcoming festive season due to the emergence of the virus mutants.

The health authorities said that with the festive season and official celebrations approaching, we announce the protocol for celebrating the birth of Christ and the New Year, which includes a number of requirements to ensure the health and safety of society during the celebrations.

The authorities said protocol includes that one family is allowed to sit in one place without the need to apply social distancing.
