Saudi lowers age limit for overseas pilgrims, 12-year-olds can perform Umrah

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah allowed children aged 12 and above to perform Umrah and prayers in the two Holy Mosques and visit the Rawda in the Prophet's Mosque.

The Ministry added on Tuesday that the resolution includes Saudis and residents inside the Kingdom, the GCC citizens, and visitors from abroad with various types of visas, provided that they are approved to be vaccinated through the “Tawakalna” app.

Regarding the GCC citizens, the Ministry affirmed that they must register that they received the vaccine in the “Resident” platform before entering the Kingdom. They also have to register in “Tawakalna” and “Eatmarna” apps after arrival.

After updating the health status, they can book the Umrah, prayers and visit permits.

For comers from abroad with various types of visas, the Ministry said they have to register they took the vaccine in the “Coming” platform before entering the Kingdom. They also have to register in “Tawakalna” and “Eatmarna” apps after arrival.
