VIDEO: Family of three escapes death on train track in Indonesia

An Indonesian family escaped death on a train track in Lumajang Regency in the province of East Java, Indonesia. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.

The video clip shows a mother and her two children narrowly avoided being hit by a train after their motorcycle got stuck on a railway crossing.

The family on motorcycles tried to cross the railroad tracks but somehow got stuck there.

The mother tried to accelerate but her efforts went in vain.

The dramatic footage reveals that as the family spot the approaching train, they get off the motorcycle and run away.

Mother and daughter try to pull the bike off the tracks, but frantically move away it as the train smashes the two-wheeler apart in seconds.

Police from the Lumajang district station visitedthe site to investigate. Local media quoted the police saying the family was lucky to escape such an incident.

The woman was shaken by the incident, eyewitnesses told the media.
