UAE detects 70 new COVID-19 cases, no deaths in 24 hours

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced 70 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 741,570.

The Ministry stressed in a statement on Tuesday that its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment.

As part of its intensified testing campaign, MoHAP announced that it conducted 323,348 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.

The infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care, according to the ministry.

The Ministry added that no COVID-19-related deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours, with the death toll remained unchanged at 2,144.

MoHAP also noted that an additional 86 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 736,333.

MoHAP has announced that 36,559 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were administered during the past 24 hours.

The total number of doses provided up to Tuesday stands at 21,758,290 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 219.99 doses per 100 people.
