A video of a firefighting truck stopping traffic to help an elderly woman cross a road in Kaliningrad, Russia is doing the rounds on social media platforms.
The touching moment was captured on a CCTV camera on a busy Kaliningrad motorway.
The firefighters got off the truck and blocked it so that an elderly woman could cross the road safely.
The firefighters boldly used their vehicle to pull across oncoming traffic on a busy motorway in the Russian province, making it stop, and then assisted the woman to safely make it across the remaining part of the road.
After examining the video, it was revealed that elderly woman was holding a walking stick. She was waiting for quite some time to cross the road but the traffic didn’t ease.
The motorists, despite being on one of Russia’s busiest roads, respectfully allowed the firefighters to assist the woman.
Netizens have praised the humane gesture of the firefighters and called for rewarding them.
