Sharjah Police intensify efforts to monitor bikes violating traffic rules

The General Command of Sharjah Police, represented by the Comprehensive Al Buhaira Police Station, in cooperation with the Sharjah City Municipality, launched a security campaign in the center’s jurisdiction areas, to monitor the negative behaviors and phenomena of bike owners of all kinds, road bikes, motorcycle, and electric bikes, in those areas, in order to ensure the safety of drivers.

The initiative aims to solidify Ministry of Interior’s objectives of making roads safer.

The campaign coincided with the International Day of Road Accident Victims, which falls on November 21 of each year, to emphasise the intensification of its preventive efforts to reduce road tragedies.

Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Ali Bin Haider, Acting Head of the Buhairah Comprehensive Police Station, stressed the importance of organizing such security campaigns that monitor the negative behaviors of cyclists who do not adhere to traffic safety procedures, and traffic rules by riding recklessly on main and secondary roads, which may result in endangering their lives and the lives of road users.

The campaign will continue until mid-December.
