India's shiite leader Rizvi sparks controversy with wish to get cremated not buried

Former Uttar Pradesh Shiite Central Waqf Board chairman Wasim Rizvi has once again courted a new controversy by expressing his desire to be cremated and not buried after his death.

According to a report on IANS, Rizvi has released a video message expressing his desire to be cremated according to Hindu rituals and not buried.

In the video Rizvi mentions that after his death his body must be handed over to one of his Hindu friends Mahant Narasimha Nanda Saraswat, who will carry out all the funeral rites including lighting Rizvi’s pyre.

In past Wasim Rizvi has offended Muslim community after he challenged 26 'ayats' of the Holy Quran.
