Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, met Ghannam Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of the Emirati Cadres Competitiveness Council (ECCC), to review programmes and activities of the council aiming at developing a long-term strategy for training Emirati competencies and cadres in order to raise the percentage of citizens in the private sector.

Deputy Ruler of Sharjah listened to an overview of the "Nafis" programme to raise the competitiveness of national cadres and enable them to fill jobs in the private sector institutions in the upcoming five years.

The Nafes programme includes private sector employees at the federal and local levels, which are affiliated to the "50 Projects" programme and initiatives that aim to achieve a qualitative leap in the development path in the UAE and develop the national economy system.

The programme aims to build a partnership between the government and the private sector by enabling the private sector to be a major hub in the development process of the UAE that accommodates 75,000 citizens in the upcoming five years.
