Rain lashed separate areas of the country on Tuesday, as a result of the country being affected by a weak superficial air depression from the east, accompanied by an extension of high air in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

The rain started at 3pm on the areas of Dafta, Marbat and Masafi in Fujairah, and on Khor Fakkan Road in Sharjah.

Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah recorded the lowest temperature15.4°C on Tuesday 06:00am.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) appealed to caution while driving during the rain, and with the lack of horizontal visibility, due to rain and dusty winds.

NCM also advised to stay away from places of water gathering and the flow of valleys.

The centre expected the weather on Wednesday to be fair to partly cloudy, and some low clouds will appear in the east, which may be cumulus, with another slight decrease in temperatures.
