Earthquake felt in Sharjah

A light magnitude 2.4 tremor was felt in Al Faya, in the emirate of Sharjah, at 19:44 on Friday.

This was announced by the Seismology Department of the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), which monitors earthquake activities in the United Arab Emirates.

On Oct.14, a light magnitude1.9 earthquake hit Dibba Al Fujairah at 21.14.

The NCM said the tremor was slightly felt in the region, but had no impact on the UAE.
