The UAE authorities on Tuesday issued fresh guidelines for travellers arriving in the country on business flights.

During the weekly briefing on coronavirus situation in the UAE, the authorities said that protocols were updated in coordination between the National Authority for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management and the General Authority of Civil Aviation.

This was done in order to promote a return to gradual openness in all sectors.

The new protocol includes abolishing the maximum number of passengers allowed on business jets.

The protocol allows all businessmen and women, residents and  visitors, to come to the country via business planes, according to the established requirements.

The decision includes businessmen, residents and visitors, with the necessity of registering in the "Arrivals Registration" service, presenting the official approval issued by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, and presenting a copy of the approval of vaccination certificates issued from the site upon departure.

Authorities also stressed that passengers need to present a negative PCR test result containing a QR code that was made within 48 hours from the time of departure.

Moreover, a negative result of a Rapid PCR test that is carried out at the airport grounds, up to 6 hours before departure, must be presented.

Authorities further said that the COVID-19 test must be carried out upon arrival in the country, with a PCR examination conducted on the fourth and eighth days since the day of arrival
