Emirati child comes up with novel idea to promote Expo 2020 Dubai, winner gets a gold bar

An Emirati child Ahmed Hamdan Al Morshedi launched a challenge to visit the largest number of countries in Expo Dubai 2020 using the Expo passport. The winner is said to win a golden bar with the slogan of Expo.

Ahmed, a fourth grade pupil at al Badiyah School, launched the idea to encourage and motivate UAE nationals, students, residents and tourists of all nationalities to visit Expo and find what the UAE has offered to the world.

Ahmed said the idea of the challenge was inspired by his community responsibility towards the UAE and aimed at supporting the national efforts and spreading the culture of innovation, development and prosperity, and to enhance the spirit of belonging to the homeland and promote the societal responsibility among all members of society, to give a positive picture of the UAE to the world.

Ahmed said he got a remarkable encouragement from his family and the school administration who encouraged him to launch the idea. He added that participation in the challenge will give the competitors an opportunity to win a golden alloy carrying the slogan “Expo 2020.”

Terms of the participation include: Having the Expo passport, visiting the largest number of wings of Expo, videoing the visits and documenting the number of visits, and finally sending the final material on the email: expo2020.challenge@gmail.com.

Dubai residents and international visitors alike are getting a special passport as a souvenir while exploring the 200-plus participating pavilions at Expo 2020 Dubai.

The passport encourages visitors to see as many pavilions as possible during the 182-day event, while allowing them to look back and relive the memories of their experiences after they visit.
