UAE announces 256 new coronavirus cases, no deaths

The UAE has registered 256 new coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours, taking the nationwide tally to 736,524 on Saturday.

The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced that it conducted 305,131 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours. According to the Ministry of Health, the infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care.

The Ministry of Health added that no COVID-19-related deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours, leaving the death toll in the country at 2,100. MoHAP also noted that an additional 331 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 729,242.

Earlier, MoHAP has announced that 42,884 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were given in the past 24 hours. The total number of doses provided up to Saturday stands at 20,164,365 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 203.88 doses per 100 people.

This is in line with the Ministry's plan to provide the COVID-19 vaccine to all members of society and efforts to reach acquired immunity resulting from the vaccination, which will help reduce the number of cases and control the virus.
