UAE conducts 340,996 COVID-19 tests, detects 322 new cases

The UAE Ministry of Health announced, on Tuesday, that it had conducted 340,996 COVID-19 tests as part of its plans to expand the scope of examinations, and revealed 322 new virus infections in the past 24 hours.  The ministry said that 399 previously infected cases recovered from the dreaded disease.

The health experts announced the death of a person due to COVID-related complications.

The ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and prayed to Almighty Allah for the speedy recovery off the infected cases.

The health ministry also announced that 62,694 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were provided during the past 24 hours, bringing the total doses that have been provided to date to 19,549,263.

It was learned that the rate of vaccine distribution is 197.66 doses per 100 people.

This comes in line with the Ministry's plan to provide a COVID-19 vaccine and seek to achieve acquired immunity resulting from vaccination, which will help reduce the number of cases and control the COVID-19 virus.
