A thug attempted to stab a 16-year-old student who was sitting on a garden sofa during a lunch break in North Yorkshire, England.

The thug did not know that the one he was trying to attack was the world champion in jiu-jitsu Alex Williams, who ended the fight quickly by knocking him to the ground.

In the details, the thug approached Williams and told him, “I will smash your head and stab you in the stomach.”

Williams got up and threw him to the ground with two taekwondo moves.

The thug bit Williams' ear. Williams commented, "When he approached me, I had a chance to defend myself, so I defended.

“I thought he was just hitting him on the ground but he came back so I just kept neutralising him without punching him. I practiced these moves a lot, and my only goal was to finish the situation safely.”

Williams, a student in mathematics, arithmetic and economics, called the police after the attacker's departure and went to have his ear sutured (6 stitches) in hospital.

"I hope my experience is inspiring for young people to learn martial arts and defend themselves."

The video was watched by more than 1.3 million people, including professional fighter Alex Enlund, who tweeted: "Alex showed tenacity and courage to control the situation. Teach your children martial arts because by doing so they will not become a victim of bullies, and learn humility in the mats."
